We all wish we were part of a fairy tale, some magical creature in some great love story.

A little mermaid with pearls in her long pink hair gliding through the warm salty water, in love with some beautiful sailor who she sees on a ship, handsome brown eyes and a different world. Our lives are more similar to fairy tales than we think, and everywhere around us there is magic. White sand that glitters in the sun and gets stuck like diamonds to your skin, sugarcane fields under the clouds that taste sweet in the rain, running barefoot on the hot pavement to meet a boy in town, long days of summer where the moon comes out along with the sun.

I got this slip dress by Free People a long time ago on sale at a local boutique, weirdly enough though, I've never worn it....I kinda forgot about it until going through my dresses the other day. But now I want to wear it all the time! I love the way it looks layered with leggings, a tank, and a cardigan. So cute! And this spring/summer won't it look great with a black bra and shorts?

I also fixed my sharktooth necklace a few weeks ago, and have been wearing it with everything. I love it so much. I remember getting the sharktooth while at Gulf Shores with Jacob, then he made it into a necklace for me.....because he knew I had been wanting one. Once again, perfect husband award!

And on a boring note, this semester has been really tough so far, I've never had so much homework in all my years of school. It sucks. I'm about to start on one of my three papers I have to write tonight.....wish me luck!

I check Nasty Gal reguarly to see if they have done a new lookbook, becuase they are always so perfect. The newest one up and it is no exception, I love it! Well, classes officially started Tuesday, bummer. And I am not really liking any of my classes so far, possibly becuase they are very time consuming and boring...and soon to be stressful. But hopefully once we start doing projects and things like that it will be more fun!

I wore this outfit to work the other day, I'm just so in love with this maxi skirt! It's so fun and perfect for "warm winter" days, spring days, and fall days. And it looks great with so much, I decided to wear it with my Billabong surf crop top, (that is long enough to be tucked in) and my booties! And when it got chilly I put on my studded leather jacket.

I'm about to go take a quick nap now before I have to go to work! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I have loved this song since it came out awhile back, but I have never watched the video. I did the other day, and I fell in love with it. A couple of favorite parts are at the beginning when she is walking along the beach with the waves hitting her feet, and she's kicking the sand. I also love when they are on the beach together laughing and goofing off. Ah, makes me miss the beach so much.

And how cute are all her outfits? I especially love the one where she is in the beach house.

One of my favorite blogs, Oracle Fox collaborated with Billabong to create this awesome line of shorts, shirts, tanks, dresses, bikinis, and cover-ups. I love every single piece. Especially the Gypsetty shorts in the first picture. I NEED those shorts in my life. They look so comfy and they are sooo cute. I've been checking billabong.com non-stop waiting for them to go on sale. But they haven't yet :(

If I could afford more pieces I would go for the sweater and shorts in the 5th picture and the green Sun, Moon, Earth shirt. Every single piece in this collection I could live in. I'm so in love!

I fell in love with this editorial by Elle Brazil. These beautiful, sparkling, magical looks just scream mermaid. And you all know I have a slight obsession with mermaids! I was wanting a seventies vibe so I took inspiration from Wildfox Couture and decided to put tiny star tattoos under my eyes. I had people telling me all night how much they loved my stars and my top, so it was a success! And it's such a fun outfit!!

I spent the night dancing away with my love and some of my best-friends! And look at Crystal and Reid don't they look adorbale?! I love Crystal's big flower! I want one!

This shimmery jacket is one of my best thrifting finds. It's so fun! I can only imagine that a very stylish grandma used to own this and wear it when she went to the casino, haha. It's fun to try to imagine the story behind a thrifted/vintage article of clothing.

I decided to dress the jacket down with jeans and a black tank-top with my favorite vintage necklace! But I think it would be great with a black dress or body-con skirt also.

The pictures turned out over-exposed, but that's okay....gives them some personality!

And, today I'm going to get my hair done, back to brown for now!

Since I am having trouble falling alseep...I decided to do some online shopping, or I guess you could call it online browsing, since this girl has no money to spend on herself right now! Anyways, I was on topshop.com and I came across these bralettes. Sigh, I love them. How perfect would they be this spring with skirts and this summer with high-waisted shorts? SO PERFECT. (and maybe if we are lucky they will come out with even cuter ones, when I have the money to buy one!)

I think I like the pretty pink one more than the grungy blue one, but it's a hard decision. Which do you guys like more?

So Sunday was the Christmas party with my co-workers! I had a blast, can I just say that I LOVE EVERYONE I WORK WITH! I have such amazing friends! Crystal....who is looking super cute in the red dress and candy-cane socks brought all the props so we could take fun pictures all night. Mustaches, pirate hats, cowboy hats, kitty cat props and more. So fun!

Also she and Reid (In the second picture with the ear-muffs, haha don't kill me Reid!) had a fun game going where you draw a piece of paper out of a hat and it tells you something to draw on the board they had on the wall.....like a snowman, Santa, North-pole, and for some reason they threw my name in there....haha. So, Amanda drew me (can see me up above in the anchor dress...with a peter-pan collar, may I add) Haha, so funny :)

The top I was planning on wearing to the party, well the zipper broke and would only zip half-way up, then it decided to not go up or down so I was stuck in it. And unfortunately Jacob had to cut me out of it :( I've had the top for about 3 years and I've never worn it.....such a bummer. So I was feeling like not dressing up anymore, and threw on my liquid leggings and a sweater with my favorite necklace. Luckily Evelyn (with me in the 9th picture) brought a Santa hat and I was able to wear that to be more festive!

Such a wonderful night with amazing people!!

So, today I finally finished the semester! Yay me! I had a huge presentation this morning, which went great. And for the past week I've been making a skirt for class, I had to make the pattern for it and everything. It looked great. Yet, I decided I wanted it to be shorter. BIG mistake. I accidently ripped the skirt all the way up the front. I haven't been so upset in a long time. But Jacob convinced me that I could make another one before it was due in 2 hours.

So after 2 bloody fingers, a few tears, one broken needle, cutting up an old bed-sheet for fabric, and with the help of Jacob, I finally got my final flat pattern project done! And my purple pegged skirt doesn't look that bad!

I'm hoping to make another one someday, out of better fabric.....I just need a little break from sewing and school....I'm tired!

I wore this outfit out on a date with Jacob, it was a little nippy and I didn't enjoy taking my coat off to snap these pictures, but I did it for you guys! Haha....aren't these sequin shorts amazing? Especially for the holidays!

Sorry I've been MIA when it comes to outfit posts. But since it is the last 2 weeks of school, Jacob and I are soooo busy with projects, tests, and work. And not to mention the sun-sets at 5:00 and we sometimes don't even get home from classes until 4:30. Anyways, we will be done soon so that means I will be posting more soon!

Jacob took this picture one day after class this week, I have been living in over-sized shirts, leggings, sweats, scarves, and sweat-shirts. Not the cutest outfits ever, but can you blame me? I'm tired!!!

So I have been trying to stay off spanishmossvintage.com for awhile now, because I get butterflies over pretty much every single item they have in their store and when that happens I think about those items non-stop.....and since I can't afford anything on their site.....it really is toture. But I couldn't help myself the other day, I had to take a little look....big mistake!!!

I fell in love with their new lookbook. How amazing is that floral dress/robe thing in the first picture? So dreamy....(want/need it!) And the second to last picture, that is the most perfect hippy, lounging around all day, don't care about anything outfit. Love it.

But most of all I went waaaaay crazy over the vintage Missoni multi-toned pants in the last picture, so much that I told myself I would save enough money to buy them no matter how much they were. And then I went and looked at the price.....and changed my mind. At $524 this poor college kid can only dream of having those amazing pants in her closet. Maybe one day....when I'm rich....they will be mine to wear all day everyday!

I think it's fun to dress up, it's an exercise of creativity.

Now these ladies are inspiring. I wish people loved fashion like these women do. And I wish people didn't think that just because someone is wearing the latest designer fashions that they are the most sylish person in the world. Having the latest Marc Jacobs jacket, a Chanel purse, or a Dior dress...... those things does not make you stylish. (Even though it would be nice to have those things, don't wear them the same as everyone else, mix it up!) Have fun with fashion, wear the unexpected, and most of all be yourself...don't strive to look like others.

Obviously I only shop at Forver21, haha...(just kidding) but hey when you work there, it's hard not to buy tons of things!

Jacob told me he thought I was too big of a chicken to walk in the tiny creek we were next too, so ya know....I had to prove him wrong! Even though I only let go of the fence next to me for like 20 seconds.....but....who's counting?

It's been raining the last couple of days, so I've been sporting my Sperry anchor rain-boots, love them....but sometimes it's hard to find things to go with it! I thought the blue collar under the striped sweater would give the outfit a little more personality :)

I'm out of school for the rest of the week, thank you Thanksgiving! So we are about to head to my parents, can't wait to see them and my nephews!!

Meet the new addition to our family, Skipper!! Isn't he just adorable? And he has the best personality ever, he's so playful and loving! I love him so much already! He is also going to be a very spoiled dog, on the first day of having him he's gotten to go to the park twice, ride with Jacob to take me to classes twice, and go on several walks. Haha.

We adopted him from an elderly lady who could no longer take care of him. And it was the best decision we've made in awhile! Haha, we are going to love....(we we already do) being parents of this cute little doggy!

Last Friday my mom came up for a day, and she went with me to watch Jacob walk in the Veteran's Day parade. It was amazing being able to honor all the veterans that were in attendance. And it was even more amazing to see my love walking in the parade with all them all. I am so proud to be his "army wife" :)

So I am literally dying over this fuzzy vest, how amazing is it! So vintage looking....sigh, I love it! I want to wear it all the time with everything, dresses, pretty tops, sweaters, band shirts....pretty much everything in my closet! Haha. And it's so warm and soft too! Love it.

And I'm also super in love with the blush top I am wearing. It's so beautiful. The sleeves are MAJORLY billowy, they are so big! The vest kind of takes away form how big they are, and the back has such a beautiful cut-out. So when the weather gets warmer, I will show you!

I love the look of something beautiful with something tough, these pants from Forever21 have leather on them, and the biker boots are the finishing touch!

It's getting cold here in Arkansas! Brr!! I wasn't expecting it at all either. So I wore this to my first class, but before my next class and work I went home and put on my American Apparel thigh-high socks (rolled them right above the knee) and my vintage floppy hat. The thigh-highs kept me A LOT warmer and the hat helped tame down my wind blown hair. And those 2 additions made the outfit even cuter, wish I would have added them before I took pictures! Oh well :)

I think Goodwill is the best place to find cheap, comfy, over-sized sweaters, (like this one).....but really what can't you find at Goodwill? I love that place. Need to go back soon!

Happy Halloween everyone!! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (along with Christmas and Valentines Day). But unfotunately we didn't get to dress up this year....because Jacob had drill on the day of our friend's Halloween party....bummer!! Oh well there's always next year!

So I started off the night with my hair pulled up in a cute/funky bun....yet by the time we took pictures it had fell a little bit. So after we took a couple of pictures, Jacob told me I should take my hair down (because he always thinks my hair looks better down) He finally convinced me to do so.....and we took some more pictures.....and when I looked at them, I liked my hair both up and down....couldn't pick just one! Haha, which do you guys like more?

And this is one of the dresses Jacob bought me for my birthday when he took me shopping. Isn't it awesome? I love it! And I love the necklace I have on with it, you guys probably can't see but there is a seahorse and starfish charm on it, which made me love it even more!

So while browsing on wildfoxcouture.com I fell in love with multiple things, like this shirt....especially this shirt. I would wear it all the time. With shorts, skirts, jeans, leggings, shorts and tights, big comfy cardigans tons of necklaces or no necklaces at all...and those emerald green palazzo pants I've been eyeing at Forever21. Ugh, I need this shirt!....and those pants!

First of all this shirt reminds me of Jacob and I a lot, because we love swimming in the sea and squishing the sand between our toes, taking long pointless drives while listening to music and talking about everything, counting the stars on a quilt while sneaking in kisses every few minutes, he is my true love...no doubt about that, and of course we like to party and get a little tipsy! Ahh, it was made with us in mind! And doesn't it look so soft and comfy!?

It's getting pretty chilly here! And while I love layering and fall clothes....I still don't like to be cold! Brrr! I just want to stay inside with Jacob all day and drink hot-chocolate and not worry about a thing! Wouldn't that be nice?

I loved this sweater when I tried it on at the store, but now that I've actually worn it....uhhh not so much! It feels like I'm wearing a baby sweater.....not cool! It needs to be a little longer and looser (is looser a word?... haha).....But oh well I'm sure I can find a lot of ways to wear it! (just in my perfect world it would be bigger!!)

And I love the American Apparel bows.....I want more!! Especially in the light green that I saw, beautiful!

Dress- Anna Sui for Target (Blair Dress), Headband-Leah LaRue, Shoes-Gianni Bini

About 2 years or so ago, Anna Sui came out with her collection for Target. And when I heard it was inspired by Gossip Girl I freaked out. So obviously we went to Target right when the collection came out, but the dresses were priced out of my price range lke $70-$90 (if I remember correctly). Anyways, I fell in love with the dress I have on above, (even though there were many more I loved) This one was my most favorite!

I couldn't afford to get it that day, but then one day I came home from work and it was laying on the bed. Jacob had bought it for me!! I was so excited, what a wonderful surprise! Ever since then I have only worn it a handful of times, but everytime I do I feel like a Queen, (Queen B to be more exact, tehe). I decided to wear it out on a date with Jacob and he couldn't keep his eyes off of me, such a wonderful night!

I recieved this headband from Leah LaRue (http://www.leahlarue.com/) and thought it deserved a beautiful dress to be paired with since it itself id so beautiful and classy. It is on their website and is call "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend" ...ain't that the truth ;)

I love these shorts for fall. And when I went to try them on at Forever21, I spotted this sweater folded away in a cubby and thought.....these shorts and that sweater would go perfect together. And I was right! I love them the mix of prints and the brown with the orange, perfect! These shorts also look amazing with a couple of other tops I have, I'm sure you will be seeing them again soon!

At first I couldn't wear this outfit though, cause I didn't have any dark brown shoes. While I found some cute booties that would go perfect at Forever21, I just couldn't afford to spend $30 on them. Soooo, I went to Wal-Mart and found these flats for $9.50! And now I can wear them to school and work and be comfy!

And I have no idea what my deal is with wearing orange lately. I'm like wearing orange in all my last few posts....uhhh....I promise I won't wear it in my next one!! Haha :)

Last Sunday, Jacob and I had a free day to do whatever we wanted, (well before we started our homework). And we decided to go to the park and hang out. It was so much fun. We talked, took pictures, had a competition on who could hit the tree the most times (from a distance) with walnuts....I totally won ;) found two lucky buck-eyes (one for each of us), and enjoyed the beautiful sunset. Ahh, I love fall days!

I saw this skirt last time I was at Urban Outfitters, and since I LOVE tutu skirts and sometimes want to go to Gap Kids and try theirs on (just to see if it would fit, haha I wanted one so bad!) I had to have this one!! A grown up tutu skirt? Sweet! (I'm a 12 year-old at heart). Anyways, there are many ways to wear it and I'm pretty sure yall will see it more!

Last Saturday we had my birthday party, it was so much fun!! All my amazing friends came out and celebrated with me over dinner then out dancing. I had a blast and I love every single one of my friends so much!!! I am so blessed! Some of my friends even bought me birthday gifts :) how sweet!! (Do yall see the kitty-cat wine up there, it was one of my gifts...so cute!!) And Jacob made me a 4-layer birthday cake!! It was delicious!! He's such a great cook :)

I saw the first dress in August and I knew immediatley that it was my birthday dress! It's so colorful and fun, I love it!! I decided to add some more fun to it by adding my Glitter Foxys. They are gorrrrgeous, but the side where the glitter is cuts into my foot, ouch! I guess I just need to break them in! I had my hair all the way down at first but then decided to pull it up half-way! Looked better :)

Jacob took me shopping for my birthday and I got 2 dresses. One of them is the 2nd one I'm wearing above. I love how sexy, flowy, and simple it is! I'll do a post in it one day so you all can see it better!!

Everyone made my birthday amazing, my mom, my love, my entire family, and all my friends. I love you guys so much!! Thanks for celebrating with me!!

This is what I wore on my birthday! Jacob took me out to eat at Red Lobster...(my favorite) and then we went to see Dolphin Tale! It was such a wonderful movie, I love it so much...and I love the dolphin Winter even more!!! I really want to go down to Florida and see her one day, that would be amazing.

I had a wonderful birthday, and tonight I'm having my birthday party with all my friends! We are going out to eat then out to Bikes, Blues, and BBQ on Dickson street. Will be so much fun!! The orange dress I am wearing above, I love it. I love how simple it is, yet it makes such a statement with it's bold color, gorgeous pleats, and darts. Reminds me of the 60's. Decided to just let it shine on it's own and not add accessories!!! I really wanted to wear my hair in a high pony-tail to show off the shoulder details, but I just can't fix my hair to save my life!! It always looks terrible. I thought I would switch things up, and instead of a white collared shirt with this sweater, I decided to wear a blue one! I like it, makes the outfit more interesting in my opinion. What do you guys think?

Also, loooove this skirt! Had to get it in 2 colors, this beautiful green and a gorgeous red....and they were only $10.50 each! (I think I remember that right) Such a great deal! Also, got these shoes last year, but I find them to be super uncomfortable, but I decided to give them a try to wear them.....and regretted it big time. Now I have blisters! Ouch!

When I recieved this Anthropologie catalog in the mail, I was so excited! Everything is so beautiful. I love the mixing of prints, amazingly done. So inspiring! Also the plaid dress with that cute red hat, is just super cute!

The big bouffant hair, the mixing of prints, the gorgeous colors, vintage inspired dresses, the high-waisted skirts and pants, and the beautiful stockings/tights, and the really fun shoes.....sighhh. What's not to love?!

And check out the necklace in the 6th picture, yes those are horses. I love it! So unique and cool. Gahh, I wish I could have all these outfits in my closet!!!

Christian Siriano's fashion show blew me away. I seriously loved everything, but my favorites are the ones above! I love how he paired simple plain or striped t-shirts with such extravagant/beautiful skirts. Amazing. I really hope to see skirts like that in affordable stores this spring! And how cool are the pants? So comfy and chic looking I'm in love! This collection is so lady-like and fun, especially with the neon colors mixed with the nude tones and white. (the cute little white dress with the pop of neon accessories? Genius!) Everything is SO beautiful.

I love Jill Stuarts line also. I love how she used a palm-tree print on her super pretty/girly outfits. They are all so chic and cute! The peter-pan collars, cute shorts, and the colors are all something I could see myself wearing this spring!

This dress at Jonathan Saunders is so cute, the only thing I would change about it is raising the hem-line. But I love the colors and the lady-like silhouette.

J Crew did a fabulous job this show. I love how city/beachy chic everything is. The mix of the polka-dots with that gorgeous striped jacket, made me get butterflies! How cute! And then the polka-dot blouse with those tiny (but super chic) white shorts, over-sized cardigan, and panama style hat?! Perfection!

I love how Karen Walker mixed girly pieces with masculine pieces. Everything looks so fun and so chic. I am definitely wanting pieces like these in my closet, not only for spring but they would transition great into fall!

Ralph Lauren got his inspiration from The Great Gatsby, and I love it! The suit with the shorts is just amazing. I am going to be on the look-out for cute short-suits. They are so chic and can be so fun if you style it right! And how cute is the feather-like cape with a little dress? Such a fun outfit to wear while out on the town!

And last but not least is this gorgeous outfit by Rachel Zoe. The super high-waisted, maxi-skirt is gorgeous and I would love to have it in my closet! And the white-top with the visible white bra she paired it with? Amazing. Love this outfit to death!

I thrifted this gorgeous blazer about a month ago, and I was so thrilled to be able to finally wear it...it's awesome and it will be a great layering piece for fall and winter!

I got this outfit on my first trip ever to Urban Outfitters. I picked out the top as soon as I entered the store (I love peterpan collars) and then a little later I found these shorts, which I had to try on red and blue high-waisted shorts? Gotta have! While I was in the dressing room, I got to thinking....these two items will go great together! So I tried them on together, showed Jacob and he just thought it was the cutest outfit ever, and he insisted on buying it for me! And I'm so glad he did, I love this fun/classy outfit!

So a lot of you have been asking how I stay in shape. Well, when I was in highscool I was captain of my basketball team, cheerleading captain, and I also played softball. And during highschool I was in the best shape of my life, working out 3-4 hours a day with all the practices I had. But now, almost 5 years later, I hate working out! Yuck, so boring! But I do enjoy staying active by swimming, riding my bike, going for walks around the park, hiking, dancing, and playing basketball.

It's Spetember! And I'm super excited cause not only is it my birthday month....but Gossip Girl starts back up this month too! Meep! Now, about my title...remember when Dan told Blair that? Worst advice ever. Bring back those gorgeous headbands that Queen B would wear with her adorable outfits!! Please!! I miss them! Crossing my fingers that she wears some this season!

We took these pictures while we were up at Kansas City exploring the city. It was a really fun day. First we woke up and had a delicious breakfast made by our hotel.....and it was free! It was the best breakfast ever, (well besides when my granny makes breakfast). I love the yellow blouse that I am wearing. Such a beautiful color and it's so crisp. Looks great with so much! And how cute are these polka dot shorts? So pin-up girl and perfect, I love their vintage feel.

School has officially began, and so far I'm not enjoying it...haha. Bring back summer!!!

Swimsuit-Topshop

So one day after we went out for dinner with my family, Jacob and I hopped in our car and cruised down to the "private" beach that we always spend our beach days at whenever we are at Gulf Shores camping out. (Luckily my parents got an awesome beach house, so no tents this time!) We did a quick change out of our clothing into our swimsuits and headed to go take pictures and play around.

At first I had my hair all fixed up with it clipped half-up, trying to be as pin-up girl as possible. We took some pictures like that, and I liked a few.....but then I decided to let my hair down, and we just played and had fun! And every once in awhile Jacob would snap some pictures. It was so much fun. We stayed out there until the sunset, playing in the waves, digging in the sand, and trying to find seashells. The pictures we took around sunset are my favorite (the first 8 I posted) because my hair is perfectly wavy from being splashed by the ocean waves, I am relaxed and having so much fun, the sky is beautiful, and the ocean is just perfect (as always.)

I love this swim-suit to death. It's so cute and fun, and I wish I could wear it everyday and not get weird tan-lines! But it is perfect for afternoon and night swims, and for the hot-tub this winter!

Bikini-Target, Top-Abercrombie and Fitch, Shorts-Thrifted (DIY), Purse-Got at Myrtle Beach like 6 years ago!

On the last day I woke up to my little sister bursting into my room and yelling "Sea-turtles! Sea-turtles Niki, they are hatching!" And I said, "no they aren't go away"....cause it was waaay too early. But then I got to thinking, man she was really excited and I think she might be telling the truth. Soooo, I got out of bed. I went in there and she told me that she walked down the beach and the Sea-turtle rescue center was at one of the nests and they told her 3 turtles had left the nest about 30 minutes ago, and that the rest would come out sometime today! I immediatley had to go down there, so I threw on my bikini bottoms with my pajama top and we ran down there. When we got there we got to listen to the sea-turtles move around in their nest, it was awesome. Then all of a sudden a lightening storm hit so we had to go back in the house.

As soon as the storm stopped we ran back down to the nest, but nothing had happened. So we asked them to call us when they thought the sea-turtles were about to start coming out. And they put my number first on the list :) So we went and played on the beach and in the ocean, saw dolphins swim by..again!.... and every 30 or so minutes we would go check in the nest (you never know when they might come out!) But then it was time for lunch, so we went out to eat and when we got back the sea-turtle people told us that one baby turtle had left the nest. Bummer, we missed it!

But there were still 114 turtles still in the nest.....so we went and played some more....and about an hour and a half before sunset, they called me...even though we were already on our way down there to check on them! So we sat by the nest and waited. It was so awesome seeing the sand move as the turtles would move underneath it. And everytime I saw the sand move, my heart would skip a beat in excitement! Well, we waited and waited.....but those little boogers didn't start to come out until about 30 minutes after sunset. And when they started pouring out of the sand together....it was unbelievable. The coolest thing I've ever seen. They are so adorable! They came out of the nest and immediately took off toward the ocean.

The sea-turtle people built a path for them, (as seen above) so they won't stray and go the wrong way. It was amazing watching over 70 baby sea-turtles run to the ocean frantically (only half of them left the nest that night) and then getting to watch them get swept away with the waves, I was instantly in love. And everytime I think about that amazing experience I get butterflies.

And aren't their tracks adorable? (You can see them in the last picture!) Also, since the turtles waited till night (which is best for them, gives them a better chance to live!) we weren't able to take pictures, because the flash blinds and confuses them. But they had a red light, which doesn't bother them and we used that to try to take pictures with.

I had no idea that Gulf Shores has a sea-turtle rescue center...so we didn't get to go this time but next time we are down there we are going! I went to one in South Padre Island, here's the post: http://tinysailor.blogspot.com/2010/04/sea-turtles.html

So the last day at the beach was amazing. It will forever be one of the best days of my life. I got to spend an amazing day with my family and husband and see baby sea-turtles hatch. Actually, this trip will forver be one of the best trips I've ever been on, I am so thankful. And I'm so blessed. I have the best family in the world.

The 6th day at the beach was just as much fun as the first five! First we got up and went to the Parasailing place and my parents and my sister went parasailing! (Jealous!...someday I'll go!) Then my parents took us to eat at "The Hangout" and I loved it there! It was a lot of fun, they would have games to play during dinner....including a watermelon eating contest, which I wish I was able to shoot my hand in the air faster so I could have entered! And a little foam machine....my nephew loved that! Now I really wanna go to a foam party!

Also, how awesome were all the signs they had hangning up? Vintage looking with pin-up girls and mermaids? I wanted them all so bad! They are perfect!! And how cool were the carved out mermaids and the seahorse made of drift-wood? I am obssesed with all of the signs, mermaids, and the seahorse....wish I could have them for my walls! I especially love the "everything you can imagine is real" one! The pez dispensers (I loooove pez!) and lunch boxes were really cute too! The Hangout is a really cool and if you are ever in Gulf Shores you should go!!

Then when we got back to the beach house, we went to the beach and hung out for the rest of the day! There were sail-boats out and my dad even found the sand-dollar up above!! Grrr...I wanted to find one but I didn't! Such a fun day though!

5th day at the beach!

The fifth day at the beach, I spent all day with Jacob skim boarding. It's just so much fun! My mom decided to take some pictures of me skim boarding, and of course she got me busting my behind. Ouch! It really hurt! But I was a trooper and got right back up!

After spending the day at the beach, we went out to eat some delicious food....and then went on a dolphin cruise! It was fun and we got to see a couple of small groups of dolphins. Even though we got to see a huge group of dolphins (with a baby!) swim by us while we were out playing in the ocean earlier that day....we already told my nephew that we were going to go out on a big boat. I really enjoyed the boat ride, and I loved the pure white sail-boat in the distance. When I own a sail-boat it will look just like that!

And we watched Soul Surfer the other day, and it's such an amazing story and Bethany Hamilton is such a strong and amazing girl. Loved it!

katy perry concert.

Last Wednesday Jacob and I went to see Katy Perry in concert. And yes I was the first person in line and front row, haha! Anyways, she was awesome! Her whole concert was like a Broadway show, it was pretty cool. She shot mini "movie" clips to tell a story, and after each clip she would play 3 or 4 songs that went along with the clip. It was a pretty neat concept.

But probably my favorite part about the whole thing was her outfits. Aren't they amazing? I love them all from the first outfit with spinning peppermints on it to the beautiful, sequin-coverd, vintage looking robe/gown! And our camera died before we could get pictures of the last outfit, which was silver and had hershey kisses on her top. So cute! Which outfit is your favorite?

4th day at the beach!

On the fourth day at the beach, I learned how to skim board!! I don't have any pictures of me really skim boarding on this day (I'm totally faking the picture up above, cause I couldn't learn how...haha). But Jacob and I stayed out at the beach longer than everyone else so that he could teach me! And I finally stopped being scared and learned how, and it's awesome! But, I'm still not as good as Jacob yet....but I'm getting there :) I have pictures of me skim boarding on the 5th day, and yes I have one of me busting my butt. Pretty painful!

After spending all day at the beach and learning to skim board, we ate at the house then got ready to go into town and do some shopping at the shops. We went to the boardwalk, where they have a tiny "Peace Frog" store and some other cute stores, then we went to "The Happy Shack" where they had this awesome tie-dyed van parked outside. While at this store I bought a really, really cute sceunchie....that, gasp, I plan on wearing outside of the house! Ahh, what's going on?! And how cute is the seahorse shirt I'm wearing? I love it, and I'm constantly wearing it cause not only is it cute but it's super soft and light!

(Also, we went to the Katy Perry concert this Tuesday, so I'll probably take a break from posting my beach pictures and share those pictures with you tomorrow or so! It was so much fun and she is awesome!)

3rd day at the beach!

Our third day at the beach was just as much fun as the first two!! I decided to wear my floral shorts as a cover-up with my pin-up style bikini. Think they go perfectly together!

After a day at the beach, we went out to eat at Lulu's, I do suggest you go eat there if you are ever down in Gulf Shores. It's a really cute and delicious restraunt. And I love their gift shop! I wanted to buy all kinds of things there, but I only got a t-shirt....which I love. After dinner Jacob and I went to our favorite "private-ish" beach to hang out and take some pictures.....which yall won't be able to see until the last post about the beach! It was fun taking pictures, then just hanging out and playing in the waves hoping to find a seashell that was bigger than the other persons. Then we watched the beautiful sunset. (And Jacob left me a sweet message in the sand)

Man, I miss the beach!

So the first full day we were at the beach, we spent allll day long there! We jumped waves, dug in the sand, soaked up the sun, relaxed in our beach chairs, and just had an awesome day! For dinner my mom and dad grilled, and it was delicious. I am so glad they invited us all on this amazing trip, which included my mom, dad, granny, sister Brooke, my sister's son Kharter, my other nephew Ridge, Jacob, and me!

While walking on the beach and sipping on pina coladas, we got to watch a beautiful sunset, and we stumbled across some sea-turtle nests! Which are the first ones I've ever seen so I thought it was the coolest thing ever. And everyday after we found them I made Jacob go back with me to check on them like 3 times a day. Haha.

I hope yall are ready for tons of beach photos cause I have like 5 more days to go!

Swimsuit-Target

Well, today we got back from the beach, (waaah!) I have soooo many pictures from the beach, I'm going to do a post for everyday we were there! And this post is from the first day. We got to our beachhouse, in Ft. Morgan, around 6:00, and immediately we went and got our swimsuits on and ran to the ocean!

We were able to snap some photos just as the sun was beginning to set, it was so beautiful! I can't wait to tell you guys all the stories from the beach! We got to see dolphins, eat amazing food, and out with my amazing husband and family, got to see tons of sea-turtle nests, and....wait for this.....we got to see baby sea-turtles hatch on the last day!! It was amazing. I can't wait to write more about it....but you'll have to wait until the last day post!

I miss the beach already and I can't wait to go back!

My wedding photographer, Manda Standridge, still keeps in touch with me. And she's the one that found these pictures and sent me the link, because she new I would just love them.....and she was right!

This wedding is super perfect, and it makes me pretty jealous that I didn't think to have a nautical wedding! How cute/perfect is the cake and the decoarations? I love it all from the dark red cherries in the white bowl that is in a blue seashell bowl, to the thank-you bottles filled with beach sand. Her rope head-piece with the red flower is so beautiful and unique. And I love that she jumped in the water to take pictures in her dress.

Also, how cute is the chalk-board with their names and the sailboat and sun? Now I'm really wanting to find a chalk board to put up in my kitchen and draw cute little things like that on it!

Found this swimsuit while flipping trough Cream magazine at the bookstore one day. Such a great magazine, but there was no way that I was going to spend around $15 on a magazine. So I snapped a picture with my phone of this amazing swimsuit, put it through instagram.....and now here it is!

I love, love, love, love this swimsuit! (The shark with legs coming out of it's mouth, haha.... How fun is that?)...(Not that I think it would be fun to get attacked by a shark) Now if only I could get my hands on it!

This is my go-to outfit when I want to look cute and classy, without any fuss! It's so comfortable, and if I want I can just throw on white sandals with it, (especially for work!)

I love how unique these shorts are, and when I wear them I get non-stop compliments and "where did you get those shorts!" haha. I love H&M even though I've only been once, (last summer when I got these shorts) hopefully I'll get to go back sometime soon! And these BCBG heels I got about 3 years ago, and I still love them to death!

Last weekend was my friend's wedding, and we had a blast! I love weddings, so much fun :)

And next week, we are going to the beach!!! Meep!!

I've always had a slight obssesion with collared shirts, especially sleeveless ones for summer! So when I saw this adorable, pink, polka-dot shirt at Forever21....I just had to have it!! Isn't it adorable? It not only looks cute with cut-offs, but also with skirts, jeans, dresses, and other shorts! Many, many ways to wear it, perfect!

I made these cut-offs the other day, I tried to cut them at an angle, to where they are shorter on the sides and slant down toward the middle. I think they turned out pretty good! Going to make more shorts like this!

And I'm thinking I need more bows from American Apparel to wear in my hair....I'm thinking blue, red, and black.....just to start off with :)
